Brief History
The Indian women's cricket team played its first Test match on November 16, 1976, against England at the Edbgaston. They secured their first Test victory in 1995 against the same opposition in Lucknow. Over the years, the team has produced exceptional cricketers, including Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, and Smriti Mandhana. In 2014, the Indian women's team achieved a significant milestone by reaching the final of the ICC Women's World Twenty20. The team has since gained recognition and respect in international cricket, marking its place as a competitive force in the Test format.
